185/1459) Rockbottom Brewpub, Halifax: Fathom IPA by Rockbottom of Nova Scotia: **; 6.9%, 70 ibu; brewed on site; mildly citrusy, resiny nose; dry hop flavours;
The Rockbottom Brewpub is downstairs from Your Father's Mustache and it makes the best onion rings ever. They are better described as onion beinets.
There used to be a a Rockbottom Club in Bramalea but you would be hard-pressed to find any evidence of this. It had a dubious reputation which I am not certain was deserved. I never visited - I was too young - but the middle class suburban hysteria tested one's credulity.
186/1460) Stillwell Bar, Halifax: Hoppy Fingers American IPA by Unfiltered Brewing of Nova Scotia: **; 4.8%, 25 ibu; Unfiltered tries a bit too hard to be edgy enfant terribles but this is a fine, citrusy, resiny APA;
Yes, we went back to Stillwell's. We liked this place quite a lot and the snacks were great as well.
