359/2959) Home:  Dead Sun Rising by Brouwerij Eutropius of Belgium:  *1/2; an 8.1% Imperial dark smoked saison brewed with cocoa nibs, American hops and oats; brewed by Brouwerij Eutropius for White Pony Microbrewery of Italy; yeasty nose; flavours of alcohol, dank yeast, unsweetened chocolate a hint of what I imagine an ashtray tastes like and bitter hops throughout, especially at the finish;

360/2960) Home:  Tripel Belgian Golden Ale by Boxing Rock Brewing Company Ltd. of Nova Scotia:  **1/2;  9.2%; sweet, fruity nose; uncommonly sweet for a tripel with fruity flavours, delicious;

The 13th installment of the Advent calendar - who would have guessed such a fine Belgian style Tripel could have come from Nova Scotia?

361/2961) Home:  KlevereTien Zwart & Straf by Het Nest Brouwerij of Belgium:  *1/2; 10.0%; "Ten of Clubs"; brewed with sugar and herbs, aged in oak barrels; brewed to promote the Flemish town of Turnhout, Belgium, a worldwide centre of the playing card; nose of roaty malt, raisins; raisins, faint licorice mild roast; the alcohol is very well hidden;
