November 16, 2024

220/4447) Birreria Volo:  Péché Mortel Bourbon 2024 by Dieu du Ciel! of Quebec:  ****1/2; 9.5%; mostly sweet bourbon butoak is also very prominent to the nose; grouind coffee flavours of the original mostly overshadowed by sweet boozy bourbon and muted vanilla;

Today is Péché Day 2024.

221/4448) Birreria Volo:  Péché Mortel Val Ambré 2024 by Dieu du Ciel! of Quebec:  ****; 9.5%; Val Ambré is a golden maple wine; nose of subtly sweet maple with coffee grounds; very low key – maple, not so sweet, muted muddy, earthy coffee grounds flavours;

222/4449) Birreria Volo:  BBA Hellwoods by Bellwoods Brewery of Ontario:  ****; 12.6%; nose is boozy, oak, not particularly sweet; flavours of boozy oak, roasted malt, raisins and an odd sweetness; I am torn as to whether or not I prefer this to the original or not – I just might;

I survived Taylor Swift's second night in Toronto.  Union Station was very sparkly and glittery.
