In 2011 Robert attempted to drink 365 beers in 365 days, and he nailed it! What will he do next? Beginning January 1, 2021 I am moving from three star ratings to five stars.

11/1596) Home: Pale by Stonehammer of Ontario: *; 5%, 35 ibu; I found this one rather non-descript; there are hints of citrus and melon to the nose but only hints; mild musty hop edge;

10/1595) Home: IPA by Black Swan Brewing of Ontario: **1/2; 7.1%, 65 ibu; an American style IPA brewed with three varieties of hops and seven malts; citrusy nose; warm citrusy flavours;

It was reported today that business will resume in February at the former location of the Beer Academy on Victoria Street. Very little is finalized, not even the name of the new venture or the date of the re-opening but the story goes that Six Pints/Creemore will be opening a brewpub. This was the initial speculation but it was tempered about a year ago by the declaration that nothing had been decided.
Clearly, 75 Victoria Street is a tough place to keep a business going but I am hopeful that there will be fine beers brewed there soon, though it should be noted that the former head brewer, Stephen Rich is not returning.
I know I will be there to check things out once it is up and running.

9/1594) Home: Moose Mug Eggnog Pale Stout by Stonehammer of Ontario: *1/2; 6.4%, 25 ibu; what I found interesting about this beer is that it is a traditional sweet stout recipe brewed without the roasted malts; the result is a clear, golden beer with sweet mildly spiced flavours; something different.;
January 9, 2016
8/1593) Junction Craft Brewing: Hopburst by Junction Craft Brewing of Ontario: **; 4.5%, 37 ibu; on cask; citrusy (grapefruit) hop nose; the boards read, "bright, fresh, fruity pale ale" and who am I to disagree;
I was really there to pick up some Hey, Porter which I have been missing.

7/1592) The 3 Brewers, Adelaide Street: Radiateur or Radiator by the 3 Brewers of Ontario: *; 9%, 68 ibu; the barmaid said, "This will knock you on your ass."; it certainly is strong, harsh even; smokey toasted malt nose; harsh, smokey, toasty with bitter notes of tobacco;
I wasn't sure I wanted to finish this one - bring on the Winter Warmer, please.

6/1591) Home: Double Bastard Ale by Stone Brewing of California, U.S.A.: **; 11%; strong, piney nose; piney resiny flavours;
It was quite the expensive four pack but I would order any one of these if I had the opportunity.
