168/4129) Home:  Ultra Nelly by Badlands Brewing of Ontario:  ***; 8.2% Imperial/Double IPA hopped with Nelson Sauvin; murky; citrusy nose with modestly off-putting notes of vegetation, not entirely unknown to Badlands;  flavours of berries, citrus with some dankness; no hint, however, of that abv.;

167/4128) Home:  Morning Moon by Wellington Brewery of Ontario:  ***; 6.2%, 25 ibu IPA with wheat and oats; hopped with Ontario Cascade and Citra plus Idaho 7; pours hazy; nose is citrusy; grainy and citrusy with mild tropical fruit flavours and a hint of dankness at the finish;

166/4127) Home:  Galaxy 2 Ways by Collective Arts of Ontario:  ***1/2; 6.6% New England IPA; hopped with Galaxy and Galaxy Spectrum; grain bill includes wheat and oats; cloudy; fresh but not sweet (uncommon) papaya; similar flavours; mild dankness; for a change the flavours are not especially sweet either with a dry lingering after taste;

A 6th anniversary offering.

165/4126) Badlands' Beer Garden:  Dora 62 by Badlands Brewing of Ontario:  ****; 6.5%; pours cloudy; modified grist bill for this edition; hopped solely with Citra; nose of tannins and citrus; interesting blend of herbal tannins and candied hops, mild citrus and sweet tropical fruit flavours;

163/4124) Home:  Vanilla Birthday Cake by Shakespeare Brewing Company of Ontario:  ****1/2; 9% Imperial Stout; brewed for their 6th anniversary which was July 15th; this was a limited edition and my wife was very lucky to have snagged this; Imperial Stout; deep brown; nearly black; tan head; nose: sweet vanilla, mild hint of coffee; flavours of sweet vanilla icing, hints of roasted malt, sweet finish;

162/4123) Home:  Smithwick's Red Ale by Guinness & Co. of Ireland:  ****; 4.5%; as opposed to their pale ale which I see far more often; deep red; malty, biscuity nose; malty with caramel and biscuit; surprisingly nice or maybe I just miss how readily available U.K. beers once were locally;

161/4122) Bar Hop Brewco, Toronto:  Silo by Willibald Farm Distillery and Brewery:  ***1/2; 6.6% North American IPA dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Freestyle Nelson Sauvin; cloudy, lemony yellow; citrus nose; dry, nearly dank citrus flavours; 

To mark International IPA Day.  Only their rooftop patio was open and I would have liked some air conditioning.  The menu is a QR code which my ancient phone does not support so this was the barmaid’s choice.  This was followed by Amsterdam Boneshaker at the Rex with the Dave Clark 4 in performance.
