170/1988) Home: All Day IPA Session Ale by Founders Brewing Company of Michigan, U.S.A.: **; 4.7%, 42 ibu; brewed with barley malt, wheat malt, oats, Simcoe and Amarillo hops (and those ingredients are listed in seven languages); nose is a blend of hops; pine, resin, tropical notes; mildly herbal with a piney finish; a pleasant APA;
171/1989) Home: Cusqueña Dorada Golden Lager by Backus y Johnston (who are owned by SABMiller) of Peru: *1/2; 5%; my son brought this back from Peru; Saaz hops; grassy, malty nose; sweet, light bodied;
172/1990) Home: Invictus Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout by Flying Monkeys of Ontario: **1/2; 17.5% ; aged one year in Heaven Hill, Jim Beam and Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels; nose is bourbon, wood, leather, dark chocolate, raisins; very strong flavours, a blend of sweet bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit; as well as being high octane it comes in a large bottle so it is another one for sharing;
This was available on-line only, marking my first experience if you don't count the limited edition Utopias. My quibble has been that regularly you are required to buy six or twelve of a beer that is expensive to begin with. Luckily this was available as a single unit and I was able to fluff my order beyond the free shipping minimum with little fuss.
