77/3427) Home:  Yelena by Wellington Brewery of Ontario:  ***1/2; 11.9%, 60 ibu bourbon barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout with coffee and cascara; brewed with barley, wheat, oats, Ethiopian Sidamo cold brew and cascara from the skins of the coffee fruit; pours black with tan head; aromas of cold brew coffee (which I freely admit is a concept I do not get), raisins and dark roasted malt; tastes of cold brew coffee, dark coffee, roast; no hint of all that alcohol; vanilla is muted but I do detect the bourbon;

My wife, who is in possession of a Bachelor of Science of Pharmacy degree, points out that cascara segrada is a rather powerful laxative.
