101/1375) Home:  MacLean's Pale Ale by MacLean's Ales of Ontario:  **;  5.2%; MacLeans is going for a UK style pale ale with British malts, English Fuggles and Goldings hops and English ale yeast;  the nose is yeasty and biscuity;  tastes of caramel, biscuit;  very English with a dry hop bite at the finish;  it may have been something like this that Nicholas Pashley was thinking of in that TAPS interview where he answered that if he was limited to only one style of beer he would choose an English style ale;

102/1376)  Home:  Dry Stout by Bellwoods Brewery of Ontario:  *1/2;  4.5%;  comes with the  generic label, at least for the time being;  nose is mocha;  it lives up to the name; notes of coffee and mocha but it is a bit yeasty for my taste;
