183/2001) Home:  Pale Rider by Amsterdam Brewery of Ontario:  *1/2;  a 4.2% dry hopped lager;  brewed with El Dorado and Amarillo hops;  forward hoppy nose;  opens with hops, quickly grainy lager notes take over with a hoppy finish;  unusual;

184/2002) Home:  Anniversary Ale Limited Release by Moosehead Breweries of New Brunswick:  **;  5.7%;  celebrating 150 years of brewing by Moosehead and 150 years of Canadian Confederation;  brewed with all Canadian ingredients including Galena, Columbus, Cascade, Chinook hops;  notes of Asian tea, mildly astringent finish;

A number of years ago, my wife's cousin took us to a "Canadian pub" in London, England.  They served the original Moosehead.  I remember being so convinced that I was the problem on being nonplussed that I actually ordered a second pint.
